To book an appointment with the hubs, please call NHS 111 in advance for an assessment. All appointments will be for face to face consultation.
The following are examples of issues we can treat:
- Cuts, scratches and bruises
- Sprains and strains
- Bites
- Minor burns
- Minor eye injuries

Issues that we cannot treat at a GP Hub include:
- Repeat prescribing
- Test requests (ultrasound, urine etc)
- Dental problems
- Injuries where an object has gone all the way through a part of the body
- Very heavy bleeding that is not stopping, including nose bleeds
- Injuries where broken glass may have entered the wound
- Injuries requiring x-ray
We provide a wide range of services. Care will be provided by a GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Before you make an appointment to see your GP, think about what other services might be able to help.
- go to a pharmacy for advice and treatment for minor conditions.
- go to your local urgent care centre for treatment of strains, sprains and flesh wounds.
- call NHS 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk if you have an urgent medical problem, but you’re not sure what to do.
- visit a sexual health service for testing for sexually transmitted infections and contraception advice.
You do not have to make an appointment or register for these services.
